USAGE
EPICOL U is applied as a structural adhesive for the affixing of glued reinforcements and placement of anchor applications on steel, glass fibre or carbon fibre.
EPICOL U is a filler adhesive for concrete, brick, stone, wood and inorganic building materials.
Suitable for bonding flexible joint strips.
CHEMICAL RESISTANCE
EPICOL U has excellent chemical resistance to alkalis, petroleum derivatives, inorganic acids and diluted organic acids. For more information please contact RESIPLAST NV.

PROCESSING
- Preparing the application surface
Make sure the surface is clean and dry. The recommended processing temperature for the surface, the surroundings and the material is 15 to 25°C. Do not use below 10°C. Remove rust and dust from steel, degrease and descale. Carbon fibre rods must first be etched with MEK SOLVENT.
- Mixing
Stir the base (component A) evenly before use. Add the full amount of hardener (component B) and mix mechanically (300rev/min) until both components are homogeneous.
- Application
Use mixed EPICOL U as quickly as possible.
Apply EPICOL U with an adhesive spreader, spatula or trowel.
The minimum layer thickness is 2mm. Heavy parts must be supported for at least 24 hours.
- Use
EPICOL U is fully mechanically loadable after 48 hours and chemically loadable after 7 days.

STORAGE
Store EPICOL U in a dry, well ventilated storage area between 5 and 35°C. 24 months shelf life.
If in doubt, contact RESIPLAST NV and provide the batch number on the package. Do not let the product get in contact with ground water, surface water or sewage systems. Dispose of contaminated packaging and remnants according to legal regulations.
SAFETY
Carefully read the safety instructions before using EPICOL U. Products have a characteristic odour when being applied. Ensure there is sufficient ventilation, stay away from ignition sources and do not smoke. Avoid contact with skin. Eye irritation and/or sensitivity may occur during heavy vapour concentrations, inhalation and/or skin contact. Do not keep food products (food, beverages) in the same workspace. Always wear personal protective equipment according to local guidelines and regulations. Gloves and safety goggles are mandatory.
